I know Lowes or Home Depot was doing a program, where you turn in old strings of Christmas lights and you get X amount of money off of LED Christmas lights, I think it was Home Depot I seen that ad on.

For Christmas lights you would have to replace the strings of lights, as far as I know there are no bulbs to replace existing incandecent. If there were I think it would be a pain to replace each bulb on a 500 bulb Christmas tree. For your regular lighting in lamps they do make LED bulbs to fit in them.

Is there a way to replace incandesent bulbs with LED’s or must we purchase new LED lighting altogether and if not do you see the possibility of that happening anytime soon?

I really like your article! I think the use of LED’s around the house is going to be inevitable. The benefits for everyone not just the consumer are going to be great!
